Requirements

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Possess 3 or more years of combined law enforcement, corrections, and/or military experience, or 5 or more years of armed security-related experience.
• Possess a Level III Armed Certification in Texas only.
• Minimum of three (3) years of military, law enforcement, or corrections officer experience
• Minimum of five (5) years of employment in an armed security role
• Current employment with Allied Universal with a minimum of four (4) years armed experience
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, customers, and/or staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a retail location.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observed activity and reporting concerns to site leadership and/or emergency services when needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the store, parking areas, loading zones, and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor entrances, exits, high-traffic areas, and/or point-of-sale surroundings for unusual behavior, policy violations, or potential loss prevention concerns, while maintaining a professional presence.
• Carry out assigned armed post duties in accordance with Allied Universal standards, location policies, and applicable laws, maintaining readiness to respond to security-related incidents as directed.
