About The Position

We are hiring Armed Security Officers for K-12 school campuses in the Savannah, GA area and Sumter, SC. You will maintain a safe and calm learning environment for students, faculty, and visitors on a weekday, school-calendar schedule. This is a standing posting, and we hire continuously across our sites in this area. If you clear screening, you will be placed as soon as a post fits your license, location, and availability. Cleared candidates who are not placed right away remain on file and will be contacted first when the next post opens.

Requirements

• 21 years of age or older
• Ability to obtain the armed license for the state you will work in, completed through CSSI before placement: Georgia armed guard license for Savannah posts or SC SLED Armed Security Officer Registration for Sumter posts
• Proficiency with a handgun
• Must pass state and federal background checks, drug screening, and school district screening
• High school diploma or GED
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
• Composure under pressure and clear verbal and written communication
• Able to stand, walk, and patrol for a full shift

Nice To Haves

• Prior law enforcement, military, or armed security experience
• School or campus security experience
• Crisis intervention or de-escalation training
• Current CPR/First Aid/AED certification

Responsibilities

• Provide a visible, professional armed presence on your assigned campus
• Control building and grounds access, screen visitors, and monitor CCTV and alarm systems
• Conduct foot and vehicle patrols of buildings, perimeters, and parking areas
• Coordinate with school administration, faculty, and local law enforcement
• Support emergency drills and school safety protocols
• Write accurate daily activity reports and incident reports in our mobile reporting system
