Armed Security Officer Orlando Area Part time
About The Position
Excelsior Defense is seeking an Armed Security Officer to join our exceptional team. This part-time role involves protecting client premises, assets, and personnel. The officer will maintain a high visibility presence, prevent illegal or inappropriate actions, and manage access control. Responsibilities include conducting rounds, scanning access points throughout the property, and patrolling the community to ensure safety. Specific shifts are available in the Orlando Area on Saturdays and Sundays from 9 PM to 5 AM, Tuesdays and Wednesdays from 9 PM to 5 AM, Sundays and Mondays from 9 PM to 5 AM, and Fridays and Saturdays from 9 PM to 5 AM.
Requirements
- Proven work experience as a security officer or relevant position
- Valid D and G security license (must be active with both)
- Ability to operate detecting systems and emergency equipment
- Must have your own weapon
- Excellent knowledge of public safety and security procedures/protocols
- Surveillance skills and keen orientation
- Integrity and professionalism
- Detailed report writing skills
Responsibilities
- Protect company's property and staff by maintaining a safe and secure environment
- Observe for signs of crime or disorder and investigate disturbances
- Act lawfully in direct defense of life or property
- Apprehend criminals and evict violators
- Report and detain any suspicious incidents
- Conduct rounds and scan access points throughout the property
- Patrol the community to ensure safety
