About The Position

Afognak Diversified Services, Inc., a company of Afognak Native Corporation, has opportunities for Armed Security Officers. This is a part-time position located in Denver, Colorado, in support of a commercial aviation manufacturer. The role of the Armed Security Officer includes a variety of security-related duties such as responding to calls/incidents, safeguarding scenes, performing crowd control, and conducting personnel, vehicular, and building facility checks. The position requires familiarity with security systems like CCTV, access control, and emergency notification systems. Officers must safely maintain and qualify with assigned weapons, adhere to uniform and grooming standards, safeguard assets, provide motorist assistance, and escort persons and equipment as needed. All required reports and forms must be completed via electronic security applications.

Requirements

Must be at least 21 years of age.
Successfully pass a criminal history background investigation.
Must Speak English fluently; read and comprehend written English.
Must be able to demonstrate excellent skill using Microsoft applications.
Must be capable of learning new computer programs and applications.
Must be able to work various shifts, to include weekends and Holidays.
Must be able to successfully complete approximately 80 hrs. of company provided training. (Classes are scheduled 7 days a week).
Must be able to successfully complete a pre-employment physical exam and drug screen.
Must be able to successfully complete a pre-employment Physical Readiness Test.
Must be able to successfully complete and pass all company provided training; to include Expandable Baton, Defensive Tactics, and incident report writing.
Must have a clean Driving Record.
Must possess and maintain state required Armed Security Officer licensing.
Must possess and maintain state required Concealed Carry Permit (where applicable).
Current Operator’s permit. (Driver’s License).
Must be self-motivated and have the ability to work with little supervision.

Nice To Haves

Must be familiar with various Security systems such as: CCTV’s, access control, emergency notification systems, and mobile security applications.

Responsibilities

Responding to a variety of calls/incidents.
Safeguard and secures all scenes.
Performs crowd control when needed.
Performs personnel, vehicular, and building facility checks.
First Aid and CPR as required.
Completes all required reports, forms, and other established procedures via electronic security applications.
Safely maintains and qualifies with assigned weapons.
Maintains uniform and grooming standards in accordance with company policies.
Safeguards all assets, provides motorist assistance and escort persons and equipment as needed.
Conducts other assignments in accordance with established SOP's.
