About The Position

As a Security Officer Armed Perimeter Patrol in Maury, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in industries including government. At a government corrections location, you will conduct routine armed patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, respond to security-related concerns, and provide professional customer service and communication. This is a full-time position paying $21.50 per hour. The listed schedule is Monday, Saturday, and Sunday, 5:45 AM–6:00 PM.

Requirements

• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
• Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Meet applicable state and/or local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.

Nice To Haves

• An Armed Guard Card or license is preferred.
• A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to staff, visitors, and members of the public while carrying out security procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities at a government corrections location.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of assigned buildings, grounds, perimeters, access points, and parking areas to help deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
• Monitor access to controlled areas, verify credentials as required, and report unauthorized entry attempts, policy violations, and suspicious activity according to site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, alarms, and critical situations calmly and professionally, following established protocols and contacting appropriate personnel or emergency services when needed.
• Prepare clear and accurate reports, maintain required activity logs, and communicate observations and incidents to Allied Universal supervision and site representatives.
