About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring 40 Armed Security Officers for the Metro Nashville account. This is an opportunity to walk in, interview, and potentially leave with an offer. The hiring event will take place on Thursday, October 15, from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM at Allied Universal, 22 Century Blvd, Suite 410, Nashville, TN 37214. On-the-spot offers will be extended to qualified candidates. The dress code for the event is business casual. Armed positions start at $23.00/hour. Both full-time and part-time positions are available across all shifts, including 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and weekends.

Requirements

• 21 years of age or older
• Armed Security Officer: 3+ years of experience as an armed security officer or in the military or law enforcement, or a combination of these totaling 3+ years
• Unarmed Security Officer: 1+ year of security experience
• Valid driver's license that meets Allied Universal driver policy requirements
• A Tennessee armed guard license, or the ability to obtain one
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent, or 5 years of verifiable experience
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to our clients by carrying out safety and security procedures, site-specific policies and when appropriate, emergency response activities
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem solving manner
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter. Working environments and conditions may vary by client site.
• Participate in industry specific security/safety training programs
