About The Position

This role is for an Armed Security Officer at Ascension Sacred Heart Hospital in Pensacola, FL, within the Security Department. The position is full-time, with a day shift schedule from 7 A.M. to 3:30 P.M. The officer will be responsible for monitoring and responding to security threats, conducting investigations, documenting incidents, and training staff on emergency procedures. They will also serve as a resource for staff and visitors, perform patrols, manage traffic and parking, and ensure safe driving practices.

Requirements

Driver's License obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
Class D (Unarmed Security License) and Class G License (Armed Security License) issued by the Florida Department of Agriculture obtained within 90 days of hire or transfer date.
High School diploma equivalency OR 1 year of applicable cumulative job specific experience.
Ability to effectively read, write and type incident reports.

Nice To Haves

BLS Provider (American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted).
Law Enforcement background.
Security Professional background.

Responsibilities

Proactively monitor for and respond quickly and professionally to all security threats, incidents, and hazards.
Conduct investigations, meticulously document incidents, and assist in training staff on the environment of care and emergency management procedures/drills.
Act as a helpful resource, providing information and assistance to staff and visitors to promote overall safety.
Perform foot and vehicle patrols, manage traffic and parking enforcement, and report any potential equipment malfunctions.
Maintain safe and responsible driving practices while operating facility vehicles.
