As a Armed Security Officer - Utility Headquarters in San Antonio, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Utilities, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer supporting a utilities location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and respond to security-related concerns with professionalism. You will deliver exceptional customer service and clear communication while supporting a caring, reliable team that acts with integrity. This armed role requires Level III Armed Certification.

Requirements

An Armed Guard Card/License is required.
Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, contractors, and/or vendors at a utility location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
Conduct regular and random armed patrols of facilities, operational areas, access points, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
Monitor access to restricted utility infrastructure areas, verify credentials as required, and maintain awareness of vehicle and pedestrian activity entering and leaving the location.
Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate personnel and document observations and actions taken.
Prepare clear, accurate reports of patrols, incidents, access-related activity, and other security-related concerns in accordance with site procedures.
