We are expanding our team and are currently seeking retired police officers who want to continue their service and make a positive impact for our client in South Holland, Illinois. As an Armed Security Officer, your role is critical in maintaining a safe and secure environment. Your training and experience will be invaluable in delivering exceptional security services and making a meaningful difference in the lives of those we serve.

Requirements

• United States citizen or otherwise authorized to work in the US
• Must be at least 21 years of age at time of hire
• Not convicted of any felony in any jurisdiction or other crimes of moral turpitude. Conviction of crimes other than felonies may be used in determining moral character but may not necessarily constitute an absolute bar to employment, except where the applicant is a registered sex offender
• Possess a valid FOID
• Possess valid PERC
• Possess valid IROCC
• Possess valid retired law enforcement ID card
• Successfully pass a pre-employment background investigation and online assessment
• Complete all required training

Responsibilities

• Patrol assigned areas by foot and vehicle
• Answers call for assistance, including investigation of crimes, deaths, accidents, and injuries
• Enforces, controls, and directs traffic when appropriate
• Performs arrests for criminal violations of law
• Administers first aid in emergency cases
• Investigates suspicious circumstances
• Takes crime prevention measures and assists in controlling problems as they relate to the client
• Submits complete written reports and other documents as may be required
• Participates in required training courses and programs
