As a Armed Security Officer Retail Patrol - Katy Fwy in Houston, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As an Armed Security Professional supporting a retail location, you will conduct routine vehicle and foot patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and respond to situations with professionalism. A valid driver’s license and Level III Armed Certification are required. Requirements

• Possess at least three years of combined law enforcement, corrections, and/or military experience, or at least five years of armed security experience.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Possess a Level III Armed Certification in Texas.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, customers, and employees by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, medical situations, and critical events in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established procedures and contacting appropriate personnel and/or emergency services.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout retail store areas, parking lots, loading zones, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points, observe customer and employee activity, and report suspicious behavior, hazards, or policy violations to site management and/or Allied Universal leadership.
• Maintain required reports and documentation related to patrols, incidents, observations, and daily activities.
