As a Security Officer Full Time Armed Patrol Driver in Houston, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer in a retail location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help to deter security-related incidents, and support customers and staff through clear communication and strong service. This driving post calls for professionalism, sound judgment, and teamwork while carrying out armed responsibilities with integrity in a caring, reliable, and innovative Allied Universal culture.

Requirements

Be at least 21 years of age.
A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
Possess a Level III Armed Certification in Texas only.
Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to visitors, customers, and/or staff by following site-specific procedures, access protocols, and appropriate emergency response activities at a retail location.
Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting security-related concerns to site leadership and/or emergency services when appropriate.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the store, parking areas, loading zones, and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify hazards, suspicious behavior, and/or policy violations.
Serve in an armed patrol role while remaining professional and courteous, maintaining awareness of surroundings and following all post orders, use-of-force guidelines, and applicable laws.
Assist with monitoring entrances, exits, and high-traffic areas, helping to manage access, support loss prevention efforts, and provide visible security-related presence during business hours and/or special events.
