Requirements

  • Possess 3 or more years of combined law enforcement, military, and/or security-related experience or a college degree.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and/or members of the public while carrying out site-specific procedures, access protocols, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government location.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and notifying appropriate personnel according to post orders.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and report security-related concerns.
  • Monitor entrances, restricted areas, and public-facing spaces, verifying access credentials when required and assisting with the enforcement of site rules and government facility policies.
  • Support Allied Universal and site leadership by preparing clear reports, maintaining awareness of surroundings, and communicating security-related information with team members and/or local responders when needed.
