You will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, respond to situations as needed, and provide exceptional customer service and communication. Requirements

Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to staff, visitors, and/or authorized personnel while carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities at a government corrections location.
Conduct regular and random armed patrols of assigned buildings, grounds, access points, and perimeter areas to help identify and report unusual activity, hazards, or policy violations.
Respond to incidents, disturbances, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established post orders and applicable procedures.
Monitor access to restricted areas, verify authorization as directed, and document visitor activity, patrols, incidents, and observations in required reports.
Maintain required firearms qualifications and handle assigned equipment in accordance with Allied Universal policies, site procedures, and applicable laws and regulations.
