As a Armed Security Officer - Patrol Driver in San Diego, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Residential, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Armed Patrol Officer at a residential location, where you will conduct routine vehicle and foot patrols, remain visible to help deter security-related incidents, and support residents with professional customer service and communication. Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • An armed guard card and/or license is required.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to residents, guests, and/or property staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting concerns to property management and/or local authorities when needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout residential buildings, parking areas, common areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential hazards or maintenance concerns.
  • Monitor access points and verify approved entry for residents, visitors, vendors, and/or deliveries while following site-specific post orders and armed post protocols.
  • Support a professional presence at the location by remaining alert to unusual activity, providing directions and assistance, and completing required reports related to daily operations and incidents.
