As an Armed Patrol Officer supporting a government location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and respond professionally to site needs. You will provide outstanding customer service, communicate clearly with visitors and personnel, and uphold Allied Universal’s values of agility, reliability, innovation, teamwork, caring, and integrity. This role requires an armed guard card or license and Texas Level III Armed Certification.

Requirements

  • Possess an Armed Guard Card or License.
  • Possess a Level III Armed Certification in Texas.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to visitors, employees, contractors, and members of the public at a government location while carrying out site-specific procedures and security-related protocols.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols of assigned buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter areas to help identify and report unusual activity, hazards, and policy violations.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following applicable emergency response procedures.
  • Control access to restricted areas by verifying credentials, monitoring entry and exit activity, and documenting visitor, vehicle, and contractor information as required.
  • Prepare accurate reports regarding incidents, observations, patrols, and other security-related activities, and communicate relevant information to site leadership and/or responding public service personnel.
