Requirements

• Have at least one year of security-related experience.
• Possess an armed guard card or license.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred.
• Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and members of the public by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at government locations.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols and notifying appropriate personnel and/or public service agencies.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of assigned facilities, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points and verify authorization for entry, maintaining awareness of visitor, vehicle, and contractor activity in accordance with site-specific requirements.
• Prepare clear, accurate reports of incidents, observations, patrol activity, and other security-related events.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
