Requirements

  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients, staff, visitors, and/or the public while carrying out site-specific procedures, access control activities, and emergency response protocols at a government location.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, alarms, and/or critical situations in a calm, professional, and problem-solving manner, documenting observations and actions taken.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout assigned buildings, grounds, restricted areas, and perimeter zones to help identify unusual activity and/or policy violations.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and movement within the location, verify credentials and/or authorizations, and report suspicious behavior, contraband concerns, and other security-related issues through proper channels.
  • Support order within a controlled environment by following post orders, maintaining awareness of changing conditions, and coordinating with site personnel and/or public sector representatives when appropriate.
