Requirements

  • Possess an armed guard card and/or license.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a government location.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while maintaining awareness of site activity.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout assigned buildings, grounds, entry points, and perimeter areas, with working conditions that may vary by location.
  • Monitor for unusual activity, policy violations, and/or unauthorized access, and report observations to appropriate personnel in accordance with post orders.
  • Support access control, visitor processing, and/or documentation of incidents, patrol activity, and daily operations as required by the site.
