Requirements

  • Possess 3+ years of combined law enforcement, military, or security-related experience, or a college degree.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • An armed guard card or license is preferred.
  • Alarm panel experience is preferred.
  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and/or vendors at a technology-focused location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
  • Perform armed patrols of interior and exterior areas, access points, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity and report unusual conditions.
  • Monitor access control points, visitor activity, and deliveries; verify credentials and follow established entry and escort procedures.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, medical events, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, coordinating with site contacts and emergency responders when needed.
  • Complete accurate daily activity reports, incident documentation, and shift communications in accordance with Allied Universal and site-specific requirements.
