Requirements

  • Hospital vaccine requirements must be met.
  • An armed guard card and/or license is required.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Must be able to restrain individuals in a hospital setting.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to staff, patients, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities in a healthcare location.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including situations that may require an armed presence consistent with post orders and Allied Universal guidelines.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
  • Monitor access points and restricted areas, verify credentials when required, and document incidents, observations, and daily activities according to site procedures.
  • Support medical staff and location personnel during emergencies, duress calls, and other urgent events by communicating clearly with supervisors, first responders, and/or designated contacts.
