About The Position

As a Security Officer Armed Lobby in Raleigh, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. Join Allied Universal as an armed Front Desk professional at a manufacturing and industrial location, where you will welcome visitors, manage access, monitor activity, and support a professional environment through strong communication and customer service. Requirements

  • Possess a Concealed Carry Weapons Permit.
  • Possess an Armed Guard Card/License.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service by carrying out site-specific procedures, front desk protocols, and/or emergency response activities appropriate to a manufacturing and industrial location.
  • Monitor access at the front desk by greeting visitors, verifying identification and/or credentials, maintaining visitor logs, and communicating entry procedures to staff, contractors, and guests.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and report security-related concerns according to site policies.
  • Answer phones, manage incoming inquiries, and support security-related communications between employees, visitors, delivery personnel, and/or emergency responders.
  • Observe activity in the lobby and reception areas to help to deter unauthorized access, identify unusual behavior, and document events in daily activity and incident reports.
