Requirements

  • Possess 3 or more years of experience as a Military Police officer, Corrections Officer, Armed Security officer, or be a certified Law Enforcement graduate.
  • Possess an Armed Guard Card or license.
  • Demonstrate a minimum typing speed of 40 words per minute.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and/or contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a technology and communications location.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting unusual activity to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout buildings, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
  • Monitor access points and verify credentials, deliveries, and/or visitor activity in accordance with site protocols while maintaining a professional presence.
  • Support incident response and preparedness efforts by assisting with escorts, access control procedures, and communication during operational disruptions and/or emergency situations.
