Join Allied Universal as an Armed Patrol Officer in a busy retail and mall location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, remain visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and deliver outstanding customer service and communication. In this dynamic role, you will support daily operations with professionalism, teamwork, and integrity while contributing to a caring, reliable, and innovative culture.

Requirements

• Possess 3 or more years of combined law enforcement, military, and/or security-related experience or a college degree.
• Possess an armed guard card and/or license.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• A guard card and/or license is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and/or staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a retail location.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and communicating with site contacts and/or local law enforcement as needed.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout storefront areas, common spaces, parking areas, and the exterior perimeter to help identify unusual activity and policy violations.
• Monitor entrances, exits, and/or high-traffic areas to help control access, support loss prevention efforts, and report suspicious behavior, hazards, and/or maintenance concerns.
• Support closing, opening, and after-hours security-related operations by checking assigned areas, verifying conditions, and reporting issues in accordance with site procedures.
