About The Position

GardaWorld Security Services is Now Hiring an Armed Tactical Security Officer! Must have prior Law Enforcement or Military experience to Qualify! Ready to suit up as an Armed Tactical Security Guard? What matters most in a role like this is your ability to read the environment, anticipate risk, and act accordingly. Requirements

  • Be authorized to work in the U.S
  • 4-5 years of Military OR Law Enforcement Experience Required.
  • Be able to provide documentation of High School Diploma or GED
  • Be able to ace (and pass) an extensive screening process
  • Ability to stand and walk for the entire shift
  • Must be prior Armed Corrections, prior Military, prior Law Enforcement, or have a degree in Criminal Justice
  • Ability to obtain an Armed GA state Security license

Nice To Haves

  • First aid certification is an asset

Responsibilities

  • Patrol high‑risk and sensitive areas such as emergency departments, behavioral health units, maternity wards, and restricted clinical zones to detect suspicious or unsafe activity.
  • Verify identities, check credentials, and control access to secure hospital areas including ICU, pharmacy, radiation/biomedical rooms, and staff‑only corridors.
  • Respond rapidly to threats, disturbances, or critical incidents while maintaining patient, staff, and visitor safety as the top priority.
  • Ensure the proper functioning of all security systems, including alarms, access‑control devices, panic buttons, and surveillance cameras.
  • Document all incidents, security actions taken, patient/visitor interactions, and law enforcement notifications in detailed, accurate reports.
  • Respond to alarms, conduct on‑site checks, and secure affected areas until the situation is resolved.
  • Collaborate with local law enforcement during serious incidents, violent encounters, active threats, or criminal investigations.
  • Provide armed protection during high‑risk patient situations such as patient elopement risks, behavioral health crises, or custody‑related admissions.
  • Assist medical staff during emergency codes (e.g., Code Gray/Code Silver), ensuring safe intervention, de‑escalation, and area control.
