Requirements

• Have at least 1 year of armed security-related, law enforcement, or military experience.
• Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
• Possess an armed guard card or license.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and contractors by carrying out site-specific procedures, healthcare facility policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established reporting and escalation procedures.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of hospital buildings, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points and assist with access control procedures for restricted areas, responding to requests for assistance and reporting unusual activity.
• Document incidents, patrol activities, and security-related observations accurately and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and facility contacts.
