As an Armed Security Officer - Hospital Patrol - Afternoon Shift in Kansas City, MO, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Armed Patrol Officer in a healthcare location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help to deter security-related incidents, and support patients, visitors, and staff through strong communication and customer service. Requirements

  • Possess at least 2 years of law enforcement, military police, or corrections experience.
  • Possess at least 1 year of armed security-related, law enforcement, or military experience.
  • Meet hospital vaccine requirements.
  • Be able to work in a hospital environment that includes a morgue.
  • Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Be able to restrain individuals in a hospital setting.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to staff, patients, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and communicating with site contacts and/or local responders as appropriate.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter locations to help to deter unwanted activity and report security-related concerns.
  • Monitor access points and restricted areas, verify authorized entry when required, and support a professional presence while assigned to an armed post.
  • Assist with de-escalation efforts, provide directions and information to visitors, and report hazards, suspicious activity, and/or policy violations according to post orders.
