As an Armed Security Officer Government Building Control Access in Bronx, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Armed Security Officer supporting a government finance office, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and respond professionally to situations as they arise. You will provide outstanding customer service and clear communication while representing Allied Universal’s agile, reliable, innovative, and integrity-driven culture.

Requirements

  • Have at least 1 year of armed security-related, law enforcement, or military experience.
  • Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
  • Possess a Law Enforcement Officer License.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Be comfortable using a computer or tablet preferred.
  • Have customer service experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and members of the public at a government finance office by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
  • Monitor access points, verify credentials and visitor authorization, maintain entry records, and report unauthorized access attempts or unusual activity in accordance with established procedures.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, disputes, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate personnel and emergency services when needed.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols of office areas, entrances, parking areas, and the surrounding perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
  • Prepare clear, accurate activity reports and incident documentation, and maintain professional communication with site personnel, law enforcement, and Allied Universal leadership.
