As a Armed Security Officer - Full Time Shipyard Patrol in San Diego, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Aero/Defense, and more. Join Allied Universal as an armed patrol officer at a dynamic aero and defense location, where you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, remain visible to help deter security-related incidents, and deliver outstanding customer service and communication. Requirements

Have at least 6 months of security-related experience.
Possess a TSA issued TWIC.
Possess an Armed Guard Card or license.
Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

A valid firearms permit is preferred.
Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities at a defense-focused location.
Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including documenting observations and notifying appropriate personnel.
Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout buildings, restricted areas, and perimeter zones to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
Monitor access points, verify credentials and/or visitor authorization, and report any access control concerns in accordance with site protocols.
Support asset protection efforts by observing handling areas, reporting suspicious behavior, and following post orders related to sensitive materials and regulated spaces.
