About The Position

The Armed Security Officer - FT is responsible for providing a safe and secure environment for guests and employees at Bally's Lincoln Casino Resort. This role involves acting as a first responder to various incidents, guarding and escorting monies, deterring incidents, assisting guests, checking identification, preparing reports, providing security for special events, and monitoring access control. The position requires quick action in emergency response situations and the ability to observe and report unsafe conditions. Officers may also be required to detain or eject individuals violating company policies or the law.

Requirements

  • Must possess knowledge of all Twin River Casino facilities.
  • Ability to check identification of individuals entering Twin River in compliance with Rhode Island state law.
  • Ability to prepare security reports.
  • Ability to communicate with guests, outside agencies, and assist in employee investigations.
  • Ability to act as escorts for guests, employees, outside agencies, transportation of injured employees, and disabled guests.
  • Ability to rove self-parking lots, valet, and exterior of casino.
  • Ability to act quickly in emergency response.
  • Ability to observe and report any hazardous, dangerous or unsafe conditions.
  • Ability to assist fire, police, or other law enforcement agencies.
  • Ability to patrol and monitor entrances, gaming floor, and bar areas.
  • Ability to monitor the physical access control for the facility.
  • Ability to detain and retrain persons that have or are about to commit a crime or present danger.
  • Ability to eject persons who are in violations of company policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as first responders to incidents including accidents, emergencies, medical aids, and requests for assistance from other departments.
  • Guard and escort monies to specific locations and safeguard the nightly drop of monies and tickets from VLT machines.
  • Be strategically posted at visible locations to deter incidents and remain accessible to guests.
  • Possess knowledge of all Twin River Casino facilities.
  • Assist guests by providing information, services, or directing them to the appropriate source.
  • Check identification of individuals entering Twin River in compliance with Rhode Island state law.
  • Prepare security reports, communicate with guests, outside agencies, and assist in employee investigations.
  • Provide security for special events, fights, parties, employee events, and tournaments.
  • Act as escorts for guests, employees, outside agencies, transportation of injured employees, and disabled guests.
  • Rove self-parking lots, valet, and the exterior of the casino.
  • Act quickly in emergency response, including injured guests and employees, fires, fights, thefts, and arrests.
  • Observe and report any hazardous, dangerous, or unsafe conditions that may cause injury to guests and/or employees.
  • Assist fire, police, or other law enforcement agencies in their official capacity when responding to or investigating incidents within the facility.
  • Patrol and monitor entrances, gaming floor, and bar areas for the control of alcohol consumption.
  • Monitor physical access control for the facility, verifying authorization and issuing visitor and employee access badges in accordance with the Department of Business Regulations and Rhode Island Lottery.
  • When appropriate, detain and retrain persons who have or are about to commit a crime or present danger.
  • When appropriate, eject persons who are in violation of company policies and procedures.
