As a Security Officer Armed Access Control in Nashville, TN, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Requirements

  • Possess at least 1 year of security-related experience.
  • Possess an armed guard card and/or license.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to visitors, staff, and/or officials by carrying out site-specific procedures, verifying credentials, and managing access at designated entry points within a government location.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and restricted areas to help to deter unauthorized access, and communicate access requirements in a professional manner.
  • Screen visitors, contractors, and/or deliveries, maintain accurate access logs, and report unusual activity or policy concerns to site leadership.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following post orders and emergency response activities as appropriate.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around access points, lobbies, and perimeter areas, noting security-related concerns and documenting observations according to site procedures.
