As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Armed Patrol in Chapel Hill, NC, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking-up additional shifts when it works for you.

Requirements

• Have at least 2 years of law enforcement, military police, or corrections experience.
• Possess an Armed Guard Card or License.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• Pepper Spray Certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, staff, and visitors by following site-specific procedures, access protocols, and emergency response activities at a financial institution location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting security-related concerns and escalating issues through appropriate channels.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the facility, surrounding grounds, and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and unusual behavior.
• Monitor entrances, restricted areas, and high-value asset locations, verifying credentials and supporting visitor, employee, and vendor access procedures.
• Support emergency and after-hours response by communicating with local authorities and/or site contacts, preparing detailed incident reports, and maintaining professional firearm handling standards.
