As an Armed Security Officer at a busy retail location, you will conduct routine patrols, operate a vehicle as needed, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support a welcoming environment for customers and employees. You will provide exceptional customer service, communicate clearly, and respond professionally to situations while reflecting Allied Universal’s values of agility, reliability, innovation, teamwork, care, and integrity.

Requirements

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Possess a Level III Armed Certification in Texas.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to customers, visitors, and employees by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, including coordinating with store leadership and emergency services as needed.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of the retail location, parking areas, entrances, loading areas, and perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and observe activity throughout the location, reporting suspicious behavior, hazards, and policy violations according to site procedures.
• Complete accurate incident reports, patrol logs, and other required documentation while maintaining a professional presence.
