About The Position

As a Armed Security Officer - Community Centers in Las Vegas, NV, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Armed Security Officer at a government location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help discourage security-related incidents, and deliver outstanding customer service and communication. In this role, you will support daily operations with agility, reliability, and innovation while working as part of a caring team that puts people first and acts with integrity.

Requirements

  • Have at least 1 year of armed security-related, law enforcement, and/or military experience.
  • Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
  • Possess an armed guard card and/or license.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities appropriate to a government location.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner while maintaining an armed presence in accordance with post orders.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, public areas, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or identify unusual conditions.
  • Monitor access points, verify credentials as required, and report suspicious behavior, policy violations, and/or maintenance concerns to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
  • Prepare accurate incident, activity, and/or shift reports and communicate relevant updates with supervisors, client representatives, and/or emergency personnel as needed.
