Join Allied Universal at a government transit location as an armed officer, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support riders, visitors, and staff through strong communication and customer service. Requirements

  • A concealed carry weapons permit is required.
  • Be a graduate of a law enforcement or military police training program or equivalent.
  • An armed guard card/license is required.
  • Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED as required by the client.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to passengers, visitors, and personnel by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a government transportation location.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and communicating with supervisors and/or public agency contacts as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout stations, platforms, administrative areas, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or suspicious behavior.
  • Monitor access points and restricted areas, verify credentials when required, and report irregularities, hazards, and/or policy violations according to site procedures.
  • Support crowd management, public assistance, and transit-related operations during routine activity, service disruptions, and/or special events while maintaining a professional presence.
