About The Position

As an Armed Security Officer Command Center in Adelanto, California, you will help safeguard a technology, media, and telecommunications location. In this dispatch-focused role, you will coordinate communications, monitor activity, dispatch personnel, and document security-related events. You will provide professional service and help deter incidents while working as part of Allied Universal’s team.

Requirements

Possess an Armed Guard Card or License.
Have at least 6 months of armed security-related, law enforcement, or military experience.
Possess a California Weapons Permit with a 9mm caliber endorsement.
Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
Licensing requirements may apply prior to employment, subject to state and local laws and regulations.

Ability to lift more than 20 pounds.
Customer service experience.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and vendors while following site-specific security procedures, policies, and emergency response activities.
Monitor incoming communications, alarms, access-control activity, and closed-circuit television systems; document events and dispatch personnel according to established procedures.
Receive, prioritize, and coordinate responses to routine requests, incidents, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner.
Maintain accurate dispatch logs, incident reports, shift activity records, and communications with Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.
Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned areas and the perimeter as directed, reporting hazards, unusual activity, and maintenance concerns.
