Armed Security Guard
About The Position
Precision Security Team is hiring Armed Security Guards to protect people, property, and assets while maintaining a visible, professional security presence. Guards monitor assigned locations, conduct patrols, respond to incidents, and help provide a safe and secure environment for clients, employees, and the public. The role requires professionalism, integrity, dependable attendance, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team in dynamic environments. Assignments are in Northern Colorado and may involve different client sites and duties. Days, swing, and overnight schedules are available, with full-time and part-time openings. The company provides security coverage around the clock, every day of the year, and expects flexibility and reliable attendance. Precision Security Team is a veteran-owned and operated contract security company founded in 2018. It serves Northern Colorado and surrounding regions, providing mobile patrol and security operations for schools, critical infrastructure, houses of worship, government facilities, social service programs, commercial properties, and public and private events. Requirements
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- Have a high school diploma or GED.
- Pass a background check, motor vehicle record check, and drug screening.
- Be CPR certified or willing to complete provided training.
- Have reliable personal transportation; public transit and rideshare are not permitted for firearm transport.
- Be able to safely use, maintain, operate, and manipulate a firearm, handcuffs, and other issued gear.
- Be able to wear a duty belt and, where position-specific, an exterior tactical vest for the duration of assigned shifts.
- Be able to stand or walk for up to 8–12 hours at a time.
- Be able to get in and out of a vehicle frequently throughout the shift where position-specific.
- Pass the company’s basic hand-to-hand defensive skills course.
- Demonstrate strong communication and situational awareness.
- Be dependable and maintain a clean, professional appearance in accordance with company and client standards.
- Be able to work independently or with a team in dynamic environments; dependable attendance and schedule flexibility are required.
- Understand that visible tattoos, facial piercings, or non-traditional grooming may limit eligibility for certain client assignments.
Nice To Haves
- Previous armed security experience is preferred.
- A military or law enforcement background is strongly encouraged.
Responsibilities
- Maintain firearms proficiency and follow all safety and legal standards.
- Monitor property activity, conduct patrols, and respond to incidents as required.
- Apply de-escalation techniques and sound judgment in challenging situations.
- Write clear, accurate incident and activity reports.
- Communicate effectively with clients, the public, and supervisors.
- Use technology efficiently, including smartphones, reporting tools, and scheduling software.
- Represent Precision Security Team with professionalism, integrity, and accountability.
