About The Position

GardaWorld Security Services is Now Hiring a Tactical Security Officer - Armed! Military or Law Enforcement Experience Preferred. Ready to suit up as a Tactical Security Guard - Armed? What matters most in a role like this is your ability to read the environment, anticipate risk, and act accordingly. As a Security Officer – Tactical, physical ability is essential as you will be moving around your entire shift, patrolling environments such as retail stores, airports, detention centers, etc.

Requirements

• Prior tactical firearms experience and prior advanced training in emergency medicine preferred.
• Miniumm 3 years federal, state, local law enforcement or military police experience.
• Must possess advanced skills and professional experience in the areas of people and conflict management with tact and discretion and through the utilization of de-escalation techniques.
• Must possess the ability to function in stressful situations while exercising good judgement.
• Demonstrate strong customer service skills, including the ability to communicate effectively with the public while maintaining poise and self-control under stress.
• Must possess, or be able to obtain, weapon training qualification certification for the type of weapon required at the post to which the applicant is being considered for placement.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Participate in industry specific security/safety training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

Nice To Haves

• Military or Law Enforcement Experience Preferred
• First aid certification is an asset
• If you have Security, Military, Law Enforcement experience – even better!
• You have a state license if required

Responsibilities

• Physical fitness assessment and shooting qualification
• Patrol sensitive areas to spot any suspicious activity
• Verify identities and control access to secure areas
• React quickly to threats or incidents
• Check the proper functioning of alarms and cameras
• Document incidents and actions taken
• Respond to alarms and conduct on-site checks
• Collaborate with law enforcement during serious incidents
• Ensure the safety and protection of individuals and property
