About The Position
Law Security & Investigations, Inc. is seeking an Armed Security Guard to patrol and secure assigned premises and identify risks to staff and patrons. This is an in-person position in La Habra, California, described as seasonal, part-time to full-time. The detail is scheduled from 11/23/26 through 1/5/27, Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. or until the client closes. The work is predominantly a static post involving access control and site security. Contract end dates are not set; guards will be informed when further information becomes available. The position requires a BSIS Guard Card and a BSIS Exposed Firearms Permit. CPR certification and a valid driver’s license are also listed. The company provides security services across Los Angeles and Southern California, including uniformed armed guards, residential and corporate security, executive protection, and disaster relief.
Requirements
- BSIS Guard Card (required).
- BSIS Exposed Firearms Permit (required for armed positions).
- Valid driver’s license (required).
- CPR certification; CPR/AED is listed in the application requirements.
- Day-shift availability (required).
- Ability to commute to various locations in Southern California (required).
Nice To Haves
- At least 1 year of full-time uniformed security experience preferred.
- Military, law enforcement, or National Guard experience preferred.
- At least 1 year of armed security experience preferred.
Responsibilities
- Keep the site, materials, staff, and patrons safe.
- Monitor premises as a visual deterrent to theft, violence, and rule infractions.
- Examine doors, windows, and gates to ensure they function properly and are secure.
- Enforce premise rules and regulations.
- Report facility issues, such as fire hazards and leaking water pipes, through the chain of command.
- Request emergency personnel for high-risk situations.
- Multitask, prioritize, and complete tasks in an organized, efficient, and effective manner.
- Safeguard highly sensitive and confidential information.
- Protect individuals and property from security and safety hazards.
- Respond promptly to alarms, fire calls, and panic calls, securing human life and physical property.
- Adhere strictly to standard operating procedures.
- Write reports.
- Investigate non-routine incidents and prepare written documentation, including incident reports, pictures, and witness statements.
