About The Position

Law Security & Investigations, Inc. is hiring an Armed Security Guard in Escondido, California, for a predominantly static post focused on access control and site security. The assignment is described as seasonal, part-time to full-time, and is scheduled from November 23, 2026, through January 5, 2027. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., or until the client closes. The posting also says that an end date has not been set for the contracts and that hired guards will be informed when that information becomes available. The guard will patrol and secure assigned premises, help protect staff and patrons, identify security risks, enforce site rules, respond to alarms and emergencies, and document incidents. This position requires a BSIS Guard Card and a BSIS Exposed Firearms Permit. A valid driver’s license and CPR certification are also listed. The company provides security services across Los Angeles and Southern California, including armed guards, residential and corporate security, executive protection, and disaster relief. Pay is $24.00–$25.00 per hour. Full-time employees may access benefits after 90 days.

Requirements

Valid driver’s license (required).

Availability for the day shift is required.
Ability to commute to various locations in Southern California is required.
At least one year of full-time uniformed security experience is preferred.
One year of armed security experience is preferred.
Military, law enforcement, or National Guard experience is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

Keep the site, materials, staff, and patrons safe.
Monitor premises as a visual deterrent to theft, violence, and violations of rules.
Examine doors, windows, and gates to ensure they function properly and are secure.
Enforce premise rules and regulations.
Report facility issues, such as fire hazards and leaking water pipes, through the chain of command.
Request emergency personnel for high-risk situations.
Multitask, prioritize, and complete tasks in an organized, efficient, and effective manner.
Safeguard highly sensitive and confidential information.
Protect individuals and property from security and safety hazards.
Respond promptly to alarms, fire calls, and panic calls, securing the safety of human life and physical property.
Strictly adhere to standard operating procedures.
Write reports.
Investigate non-routine incidents and prepare written documentation, including incident reports, pictures, and witness statements.
