About The Position

Premier Protective Security (PPS) is seeking to hire Armed Security Guards for our Birmingham, AL location. As a Security Officer, you will serve and safeguard clients in various industries including convenience stores, travel centers, warehouses, and truck yards. This is a full-time position with a pay rate of $19 per hour.

Requirements

Must be currently licensed as an ARMED Security Guard in ALABAMA to apply.
Must be at least 21+ years of age for ARMED roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent, or 5 years of verifiable experience (experience required only for ARMED Roles).
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
At least 1 year of previous Armed Security experience.
ARMED Security License (State of Alabama) (Required).

Responsibilities

Maintain a safe and secure environment for clients by actively monitoring and patrolling premises.
Preserve order by enforcing regulations and directives for client sites pertaining to personnel, visitors, and the area.
Provide customer service and information to clients' employees and customers.
Be attentive and notice things that others don't, being aware of potential risks or incidents.
Safeguard the premises.
