About The Position

Premier Protective Security (PPS) is seeking Armed Security Guards in Charlotte, NC. This role is crucial in maintaining a safe and secure environment for clients by actively monitoring and patrolling various locations. The Security Officer position helps maintain a safe and secure environment for our clients by actively safeguarding the premises, including, at times, patrolling a variety of locations. They preserve order while enforcing regulations and directives for a client site pertaining to personnel, visitors, and the area. Frequently our Security Officers will provide customer service and information to a client's employees and customers. As a Security Officer, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Convenience Store truck stops, Travel Centers, Warehouses, Truck yards and more.

Requirements

Must have NC Armed Security License in hand to be considered.
Must have your own personal firearm (e.g., 9mm, .45, semi-auto).
Must be willing and able to stand and walk for long periods of time.
Must be at least 21+ years of age for ARMED roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen.
Must have prior Armed Security Guard experience.
Armed Security License (State of North Carolina) (Required).

Responsibilities

Help maintain a safe and secure environment for our clients by actively monitoring the premises, including patrolling a variety of locations.
Preserve order while enforcing regulations and directives for a client site pertaining to personnel, visitors, and the area.
Provide customer service to our clients by carrying out safety and security procedures, site-specific policies and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter. Working environments and conditions may vary by client site.
Vigilance: Seeing, hearing, and evaluating potential risks or incidents.
