About The Position
Law Security & Investigations, Inc. is seeking Armed Security Guards to patrol and secure assigned premises and identify risks to staff and patrons. This special-event position is predominantly a static post focused on access control and site security in West Hollywood, California, with the potential to become full-time. No contract end date has been set; hired guards will be informed when that information becomes available. The role requires a valid BSIS Guard Card, BSIS Exposed Firearms Permit, and CPR/AED certification. Guards work in person at various locations in Southern California. The listed schedule is a 6–8+ hour day shift, Monday through Friday, with possible weekend work. Pay is $25 per hour. Benefits are available to full-time employees after 90 days. Law Security & Investigations, Inc. provides security services across Los Angeles and Southern California, including uniformed armed guards, plain-clothes residential security teams, corporate office security, executive protection, and disaster relief.
Requirements
- Valid BSIS Guard Card (required).
- Valid BSIS Exposed Firearms Permit (required for armed positions).
- Valid driver’s license (required).
- CPR/AED certification (listed as required in the position description and application requirements).
- Availability for a day shift.
- Ability to commute to various locations in Southern California.
- Minimum of one year of full-time uniformed security experience preferred; one year of armed security experience preferred.
Nice To Haves
- Law enforcement, military, and/or National Guard experience preferred.
- CPR certification is described as preferred in the requirements section.
Responsibilities
- Keep the site, materials, staff, and patrons safe.
- Monitor premises as a visual deterrent to theft, violence, and rule infractions.
- Examine doors, windows, and gates to ensure proper function and security.
- Enforce premises rules and regulations.
- Report facility issues, such as fire hazards and leaking water pipes, through the chain of command.
- Request emergency personnel for high-risk situations.
- Multitask, prioritize, and complete tasks in an organized, efficient, and effective manner.
- Safeguard and maintain highly sensitive and confidential information.
- Protect individuals and property from security and safety hazards.
- Respond promptly to alarms, fire calls, and panic calls, securing the safety of human life and physical property.
- Strictly adhere to standard operating procedures.
- Write reports.
- Investigate non-routine incidents and prepare written documentation, including incident reports, pictures, and witness statements.
