About The Position

Palisade Defense Security is seeking a professional, dependable, and experienced Armed Security Officer – Roving Patrol to join our team. In this role, you will patrol multiple assigned client properties, provide a visible security presence, respond to incidents, conduct property inspections, and ensure a safe and secure environment for our clients, employees, and visitors. The ideal candidate is observant, dependable, exercises sound judgment under pressure, and maintains the highest level of professionalism. Previous armed security and roving patrol experience are required. Applicants without a valid Nevada Armed PILB Work Card will not be considered.

Requirements

  • Previous experience as an Armed Security Officer or in a similar position is required.
  • Previous roving patrol experience is required.
  • Valid Nevada Armed PILB Work Card/Registration.
  • Valid Nevada Driver's License.
  • Clean driving record (Motor Vehicle Record) required.
  • Must be insurable under the company's vehicle insurance policy.
  • Strong knowledge of public safety and security procedures.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong report-writing and documentation skills.
  • Ability to operate surveillance systems, mobile technology, and security software.
  • Excellent observational skills, attention to detail, and sound decision-making abilities.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Must have reliable transportation to and from work.
  • Must be available to work nights, weekends, holidays, and overtime as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct vehicle patrols of assigned client properties and patrol routes.
  • Maintain a visible presence to deter criminal activity and unauthorized access.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, parking lots, and surrounding areas.
  • Respond promptly to alarms, suspicious activity, disturbances, emergencies, and client requests.
  • Remove trespassers and unauthorized individuals when necessary.
  • Monitor surveillance cameras and security systems when assigned.
  • Conduct routine and random inspections of posted security officers to ensure compliance with post orders.
  • Complete Daily Activity Reports (DARs), incident reports, vehicle inspection reports, and other required documentation accurately and on time.
  • Report maintenance concerns, safety hazards, and security vulnerabilities.
  • Communicate effectively with dispatch, supervisors, clients, law enforcement, and emergency responders.
  • Operate company vehicles safely while following all traffic laws and company policies.
  • Perform all duties in accordance with Nevada PILB regulations and company policies.
