As a Security Guard Armed Patrol Driver in Whiteville, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Armed Security Officer supporting a government corrections location. You will conduct routine vehicle and foot patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, respond to situations with professionalism, and provide clear communication and customer service. This driving position calls for integrity, teamwork, reliability, and a people-first approach while helping maintain a secure environment.

Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

  • An Armed Guard Card or license is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients, staff, visitors, and/or residents while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities at a government corrections location.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols of assigned buildings, grounds, perimeter areas, access points, and/or parking areas to help identify and report unusual activity, hazards, or policy violations.
  • Monitor access to designated areas, verify authorization as required, and document visitor, vehicle, and/or contractor activity in accordance with site procedures.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate site personnel and public emergency services as directed.
  • Prepare clear, accurate reports and maintain required logs regarding patrols, incidents, observations, and other security-related activities.
