As an Armed Patrol Officer at a retail and mall location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support a welcoming environment for guests, tenants, and staff. You will respond to situations with professionalism, communicate clearly, and deliver outstanding customer service. Requirements

• Possess 3 or more years of combined law enforcement, military, and/or armed security experience.
• Possess an armed guard card or license.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to shoppers, tenants, visitors, and store personnel by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, medical events, and other critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate personnel and complete required reports.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the retail property, including common areas, storefronts, parking areas, loading zones, and perimeter locations.
• Monitor access points and observe activity throughout the location to help deter unauthorized access, theft-related activity, vandalism, and other policy violations.
• Maintain professional communication with law enforcement, emergency responders, property representatives, and the public while following applicable armed post procedures.
