About The Position

Field Sergeants are a vital link to ensuring sites are running smoothly and officers are actively working while on shift. This role involves site check-ins, employee check-ins, report writing for various incidents, and dispatching calls. Assisting with coverage when an employee calls out or is sent home early is also part of the role. Patrol Solutions has provided services to Residential and Commercial property management companies since 2010, combining experienced officers with advanced patrol technology.

Requirements

  • Must possess a current BSIS Guard Card
  • Must possess a current BSIS Exposed Firearms Permit
  • Must possess a current BSIS Baton Permit
  • Must possess a current Pepper Spray / OC Certification
  • Must possess a current CPR / First Aid certification
  • MUST own your own gear, equipment & firearm.
  • Must possess a valid California Driver's License with 3 years of a CLEAN record
  • Reliable transportation to and from the site.
  • Previous patrol security experience
  • Ability to read, write and understand and carry out written orders, policies, procedures, and instructions.
  • Ability to write and understand English
  • Demonstrate a positive attitude, outstanding customer service skills, and take the initiative in completing assigned tasks.
  • Willing to accept shift work, weekends, holidays, and overtime if needed.
  • Friendly and professional demeanor
  • Able to pass a drug test and background check
  • Supervisory experience is required, 1-2 years of supervisory experience.
  • Security: 3 years (Required)
  • Armed Security: 2 years (Required)
  • Supervisory Security Experience: 2 years (Required)

Responsibilities

  • Site check ins
  • Employee check ins
  • Report writing of site check ins, incidents, vehicles and more
  • Dispatch calls and directing to proper channels
  • Assisting with coverage if an employee calls out or is sent home early
  • Conduct vehicle/foot patrols alone
  • Patrol and maintain general security of assigned property as described in Post Orders / SOP.
  • Utilize a smartphone or similar device to maintain a Daily Activity Report, and create Incident and Facility Maintenance Reports.
  • Maintain consistent performance, attendance, uniform appearance, and professional grooming.
  • Maintain professional communications with clients, colleagues, and the public.
  • Respond to emergency calls, including medical, fire, and damage to property.
  • Protecting organization's facilities.
  • Patrolling facilities and detecting unauthorized activities.
  • Maintaining an awareness of the environment and ensuring the safety of employees and visitors.
