Armed Security Agent - Connecticut or New Jersey
About The Position
GLOBAL OPS is seeking experienced Armed Security Agents to support client locations in Connecticut or New Jersey. This is a full-time, in-person role for professionals who are vigilant, decisive, dependable, and committed to protecting clients while representing the company professionally. This is not a static post: approximately 60–70% of each shift is spent outdoors standing post, conducting perimeter checks, maintaining a visible security presence, monitoring activity, and responding to incidents. Assignments are determined by operational needs and business requirements. Applicants must hold a valid Connecticut State Armed Security License or a valid New Jersey State Armed Security License and a New Jersey State pistol permit. Applicants who have not yet obtained the required credentials will not be considered. The position also requires the ability to work outdoors and remain on foot for extended periods in all weather conditions, flexible availability including weekends and holidays, and successful completion of required screenings and pre-employment training. GLOBAL OPS describes professionalism, accountability, operational excellence, and exceptional client service as its standards. Requirements
- Hold a valid Connecticut State Armed Security License, or a valid New Jersey State Armed Security License and a valid New Jersey State pistol permit.
- Ability to stand, walk, and work outdoors for extended periods in all weather conditions.
- Excellent observation, communication, and conflict-resolution skills.
- Professional appearance and a strong customer-service mindset.
- Proven reliability and a strong work ethic.
- High school diploma or GED.
- Flexible availability, including weekends and holidays.
- Ability to successfully complete required screenings and pre-employment training.
Nice To Haves
- Experience in corporate security, community centers, residential communities, executive protection support, healthcare facilities, educational institutions, places of worship, critical infrastructure, ultra-high-net-worth residential security, or access control and patrol operations.
Responsibilities
- Conduct proactive perimeter checks to maintain a safe and secure environment.
- Maintain a highly visible security presence.
- Monitor and control access to client properties.
- Identify, assess, and respond appropriately to suspicious activity.
- Enforce site protocols and security procedures.
- Respond professionally to alarms, emergencies, and critical incidents.
- Assist employees, visitors, and clients professionally.
- Prepare accurate, detailed, and timely incident reports.
