About The Position

St. Moritz Security Services, Inc. is hiring an Armed School Security Professional for its Fort Myers Regional Office. The Security Officer provides security services at assigned locations, with an emphasis on observing and reporting. Duties may include monitoring activity; conducting foot, vehicle, golf cart, or bicycle patrols of interior and exterior areas; reporting suspicious activity and persons; preparing detailed reports and daily activity records; enforcing post orders and site rules; and responding to emergencies requiring security assistance. The officer follows the Post Order Manual and applicable company procedures, policies, and guidelines. Assignment-specific work may include customer service, loss prevention, retail security, lobby and visitor reception, elevator or loading dock security, and other safety and security functions. The position also requires documenting incidents, notifying appropriate personnel, following site-specific emergency procedures, meeting attendance and grooming standards, and completing required orientation and training. This is a part-time, first-shift position. Five openings are listed.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Valid registration, permit, or license required by the state of employment; Florida D License and Florida G License are listed as certification requirements.
Successfully complete a background investigation and, where required, a post-offer/pre-employment drug and alcohol test.
Maintain active status of required registrations, licenses, and permits, and carry appropriate documents while on duty.
Reliable transportation or access to public transportation to arrive at work on time.
May need a current state driver’s license, a clean driving record as determined by the company, and the ability to safely operate a motor vehicle, golf cart, or bicycle if assigned.
Ability to perform the essential duties satisfactorily; reasonable accommodation may be made for individuals with disabilities.

Responsibilities

Provide security services at assigned locations, focusing on observing and reporting.
Monitor and report activity, suspicious persons, security threats, unsafe conditions, hazards, and emergencies.
Conduct foot patrols and, if assigned, vehicle, golf cart, or bicycle patrols of applicable interior or exterior areas.
Follow the Post Order Manual, site-specific procedures, company policies, and management direction.
Perform assignment-specific duties such as customer service, loss prevention, retail security, visitor reception, elevator security, or loading dock security.
Write detailed, accurate, and legible incident reports and maintain daily activity reports.
Contact site supervision, field management, or other appropriate individuals as directed or needed.
Respond to incidents in accordance with post orders and the company Use of Force Policy, complete reports, and notify appropriate parties promptly.
Maintain required attendance and grooming standards and follow company procedures.
Participate in required company and site orientation and training programs.
Conduct security, customer service, or support functions as directed by a supervisor or requested by the client.
