Requirements

  • Possess a Concealed Carry Weapons Permit.
  • Possess 1 or more years of law enforcement experience or 2 or more years of security supervisor or manager experience or 3 or more years of security experience.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • An Armed Guard Card or license is preferred.
  • CPR certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients, staff, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities appropriate to a financial institution location.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting details and communicating with site contacts, Allied Universal leadership, and/or public emergency responders as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location, including lobbies, offices, parking areas, and perimeter access points, helping to deter unauthorized activity and/or unusual behavior.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and restricted areas while verifying access permissions, observing for suspicious activity, and reporting security-related concerns in accordance with site post orders.
  • Maintain an armed presence in alignment with assigned post responsibilities, using sound judgment, professionalism, and de-escalation techniques during interactions, incidents, and/or investigations.
