About The Position
Security Services Northwest, Inc. (SSNW) is a full-service security company founded in 1977, providing professional security services for residential, commercial, and industrial customers across Washington, Oregon, California, Wyoming, Idaho, Utah, and Alaska. SSNW is nationally recognized as a supplement for Department of Defense anti-terrorism force protection. They offer a range of services from armed and unarmed security officers and patrol services to installing burglar alarms and camera systems. Requirements
- Current Alaska State Armed Security Guard License
- Must have a clean background check and driving record
- Must have reliable transportation and valid driver's license
- Smart phone to access the apps we use for scheduling, clocking in/out, and reporting
- Availability to workday shifts, swing shifts, graveyard shifts and weekends
- Honesty and Integrity
- Able to work non-traditional hours including swings, graveyard, weekends, and holidays
- Ability to react appropriately in high stress situations
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- 5+ years as an Armed Officer or Law Enforcement Officer
- Knowledge of security protocols, and equipment

- EMT Background a huge plus
Responsibilities
- Act as a visual deterrent to prevent theft, embezzlement, sabotage, fire, and accidents
- Conduct regular patrols
- Monitor activities
- Surveillance
- Access Control
- Safety escorts
- Using provided communication devices
- Represent SSNW’s brand
- Properly wear the issued uniform
- Complete Daily Activity Reports (DAR)
- Work with local law enforcement and emergency services
- Provide friendly assistance to customers, employees and visitors following the department's procedures
- Other duties as described in the Post Orders
